In my last post, buttermilk was on the ingreident list. I had stated next to it that you could make your own. I then thought that maybe I should share how to make your own buttermilk.
I don't make many recipes that require it, so I always make my own. It's simple:
1 tablespoon white vinegar or lemon juice
1. Place a Tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice in a liquid measuring cup.
2. Add enough milk to bring the liquid up to the one-cup line.
3. Let stand for five minute, then use.
